Visibility is Energetic, Not Strategic

Why Strategy Alone Won’t Make You Visible

Whether searching for friends, clients, or a community, strategy alone won’t make you visible. Even though most people try to become visible through strategy alone, as if that provided that first impression.

Professionally, more content, better positioning and/or sharper messaging are taught to be the answer. However, all visibility is energetic before it is tactical. Your presence when you walk in a room and the energetic context you create when you try to be noticed, count far more.

When your inner architecture is aligned - when your Core, your body, and your personality are congruent - you become steady. Clear. Undeniable. When you show up trying to present in a certain way but everything in you is dramatically different, folks don’t see the wish, they see what shows up. Anxiety? Insecurity? Confusion? An ego-based agenda?

People feel coherence and no matter your intent, what shows up energetically defines or destroys it. We have all had the experience of watching someone walk in a room and they get noticed without saying a word. Something about them, the energy they are putting out, calls you to stand a little taller, to go to your higher sel. It’s not the “leader” that gets noticed with respect, the position can be a turn-off, it is the presence that says “I AM.” There is a comfort in his or her own skin. A way of knowing who they are without self-promotion. The solidity, the confidence in themselves, not their position, says it all.

In addition, this coherence, the solidity in their presence, builds trust. Remember, haven’t you ever walked into a room and felt someone’s presence, their energy, even before they spoke – that’s it - then you understand this.

This month, instead of wondering “How do I get more attention? How do I get noticed in the crowd.” Ask yourself, how you are showing up? Periodically notice what energy you are putting out throughout the day. Exhausted? Disgusted? Confused? Tolerant? or Powerful? Curious? Focused? Purposeful? It’s all in the energy. The old saying, “They may forget what you said but they will remember how you made them feel.” is real. Especially how they feel around you.

Get seen in a great light, with great energy, and only then show your strategy for going forward.

This is the integration that creates influence.
